Week of November 2...

We worked on shingles this entire week. What a job! Both of us were happy to have it finished! Neither one of us got majorly hurt in the process. Hopefully this was our last attempt at being roofers! Here is the finished product at the end of the week.

Week of October 26th...

Trent came down to help us finish putting the roof on. What a wonderful friend! Before the roof went on, it rained everyday for 3 weeks. The floor inside was soaking wet and I was worried that we might have to replace some of it. But, it dried out quickly after it was protected from the weather. And, of course, the rain stopped as soon as the roof was on!

Also, this week was campmeeting. It was very hard to enjoy ourselves this year. We didn't spend much time at the campground. We would go to eat and that is about it. We didn't "promenade" around the tents or visit with anybody. I didn't take the first picture this year! This was also a hard time because Ms. LaVerne, Russ' Grandma, broke her leg and was stuck in bed. No campmeeting for her... it just wasn't the same without her!

Can't believe it has been 6 weeks since my last post!!

Life is wonderfully busy right now! We are moving forward on the house and really enjoying it. I've decided to go back to where I left off and do an update for each week that I missed... I just want to make sure I remember all the details of our busy life while building this house. Hopefully I will be caught up in the next couple of days!
