Hilton's Home: August 2010

On July 20th we happily celebrated 1 year since we started on the house! Looking back over the past year, we are amazed at our progress! This time last summer we were slaving away in the heat while digging a foundation, laying brick, etc. I'm so happy those days are OVER!! We are really close to being completely finished... well, at least ready to move in some furniture. It will be nice to sit on a couch and live "Rubbermaid box" free! The floors are being urethaned this week and we will be able to move in some stuff this weekend. Here are some pics from our work this summer!

Russ said the railings looked like a hog pen so he added "oink" to the loveliness!

Looking into dining from living. We haven't hung the dining room light yet but it is awesome! It is a huge drum shade with a chandelier inside. Really cool!
