We've been so busy with the house lately! The weather is nicer and the days are longer, which makes for good work time. I haven't updated the blog since JANUARY! Here are some pictures of our progress since then.

Windows in and ready for siding!

Russ, Mr. Glen, and Mr. David putting up the first piece of siding.

Siding progress during the first night.

Attic space, may eventually be a second story. All the silver stuff is the HVAC duct work.

Looking from our bedroom down the hall at night!! We have lights!

So, we "cheated" a tad and hired someone to do the insulation and sheetrock... well worth EVERY penny! They finished the insulation in 1 afternoon and the sheetrock in 4 days. These things would have taken us a month! The picture below is the attic space.

Master bathroom with sheetrock and backer board. It is ready for tile!

Standing in the kitchen looking at the front door.

Ok, I know this looks weird... But, we moved into the garage. We had a wonderful time staying at the Hilton compound but we were ready for our own space after 11 months of being homeless. I promise, the living conditions aren't as bad as they look! We are actually liking it! The room in the corner is our full bathroom, we have our fridge and a Coleman stove to cook on.

Snow visited SC a couple of weeks ago! Builder Bob, the Snowman, was born before the snow melted!

Master tub. It is damaged and we are STILL dealing with getting it replaced. I suggest NOT using Vintage Tub and Bath. They stink...

Snow and house from the road.

Tile for the master bathroom.

I loved the polka dots! Wish we could have kept them. So many people asked about it! They are tinted shellac dots covering knots and sap streaks in the siding.

Here were some of our choices for exterior colors... and the winner is: Rockport Gray from Benjamin Moore.

Russ painting the garage, and T "helping."

Russ is painting, TJ is making a mess!

Exterior of the house as of last week. We've painted the trim since this picture was taken.

First coat of paint in the dining room. It is dark chocolate brown. (Classic Brown by Ben. Moore). I promise it won't look so dark after we put up the wainscoting and crown moulding.

First run of our heart pine flooring! This was taken last night. We worked on the floors until midnight tonight and have much more done.
