Things have slowed down significantly since moving in! It is amazing how "lazy" we got once our goal of moving in was met! We've also been super busy with travel and work! But, we've decided to step it up because we have dear friends coming to stay with us in a few weeks! Figured we at least needed doors to the bathroom and bedrooms... :)

One of the most exciting events lately is our 4th anniversary on October 13th! We had a very low key supper at Basil. Nice night with my bestest bud/husband. Thanks for the wonderful 4 years so far! I heart you Russ!

Here's what we've done lately on the house:

Laundry Room cabinets... a long way from being complete! This is the sink area and the closet that will hold the water heater, mops, brooms, and the ironing board.

The big area in the middle is going to be a "closet" with storage on the top, a coat rack in the middle and 2 drawers on the bottom.

This is the desk area in the laundry room. We will have a built in file cabinet and a shelf for the printer. (this is the "catch all" counter... we all have one!)

Closet shelving in the guest bedroom.

Island Lights! LOVE them!

Russ putting final coat on the island top. It is an oil that soaked in. We will oil it about once a year.

Island complete with legs and stools! Now we need to work on some cabinet doors - something fierce!

Our first door - historic look with 5 panels. It is quite rough, but I'm planning to finish it up this weekend by sanding, painting it white, etc.

Looking into the master closet. I STILL don't have enough shoe room!

The man side.

The girl side... Only thing I don't like is I can't reach my top rod so Russ is going to build me a little stool.

Toilet in place and working, sort of... It runs constantly so we need to figure out how to fix it.

Vanity light, no vanity yet. Working shower - we will eventually have a glass wall with a glass door but a plastic curtain will have to do for now.

Bathtub works! I've already had my first swim! Loved it. Fun chandelier hanging above.
